Not played Pen & Paper DND since 3.0 at university, but you can count me in...

I'm having fun building classes, so I'll likely bring a fair few to pick from.
Getting tempted to make some more advanced builds, but it's probably best to leave them fairly basic.

Feel free to post any preferences (I'm new to this, so I'm learning as I go. Warlocks are pretty damn different to Wizards or Sorcs, for instance :P)

i'll admit to some depressingly large experience with the 5E classes and making new guys ( most of which i haven't used) so if you wanna try stuff out i can be a sounding board

    ^^
I was toying with a melee lock, splashing fighter for martial weapons. Seems pretty competitive as a "striker" with added flexibility from casting (*really* wanted Half Orc Warlock with a barb splash, but I think the downsides are too big. I'd probably still play it for flavour, but I'll probably never do anything but DM anyways so it's a moot point. Maybe I can roll one up as a nemesis )
Also a monk/barb hybrid because rage+flurry sounds pretty comical.

I've still not touched druid or ranger yet to see if I can make a decent "pet class"
The warlock familiar seemed a bit... underwhelming.

And Stevie, I totally made a paladin already... Wields a 2h, isn't built for healing.... :3

melee locks are pretty sweet atm, be careful with the monk barb though as rage dmg only works with str attacks

I might be up for it. But as the host I know I'll be really busy a lot.

I reckon we can run a game before/after the actual party, when you're not TOO busy :P
Hoping it'll be enough fun for spectators to enjoy too (and maybe join in, playing as the villains)
