Hello there everyone, some of you I have met and some I havent met yet, names Tarlin <ingame> im from Denmark and I play with the Renegade Legion on the PvE server, I have a level 56 priest named Tarlin but I've been testing chars recently to see what I wanted to play in retail, mostly my mage whos named Daedman ...

Anyway! back to the subject of the thread, what classes is everyone gonna be playing in retail and what tradeskills will we all be taking? ... figured we could all write em down here so nothing gets missed, so we can keep the guild supplied as much as possible without having to search for none guildies to satisfy our shopping needs ****!

I'll be making a

Priest Tailor/Skinner

Mage Enchanter/Miner or Herbalist, I think mining since thats allways a good source for money.

I think I'll be making two characters, but well my main character will be ...

Healer (priest or healerdin)
Herbalism, alchemy

Main: Paladin, probably blacksmith/miner
Alt: Hunter, probably Herb/alch

Since a lot of people appear to be choosing warriors and paladins I might make the hunter my main, since I'm having a lot of fun with that class right now. I'm just a bit concerned about viability in groups at higher levels.

Alliance

Main: Rogue - Leatherworker / Skinner
Alt: Paladin - Miner / Skinner or Miner / Engineir (sp?)

Prolly not going to be with the Legion :x

Horde

Main: Mage - Herb / Alch
Alt: yet to be desided.

How many characters can you have on each server?

Nikodemus

PvE :
Up to 8 horde and 8 allience on the same server

PvP :
8 of one side, can't have both on same server

For both :
Maximum total of 50 characters

Hmmm I thought it was 8 server, seeing as my horde and alliance chars on PvE server show up on the same 8 slot list.

Nikodemus

You could be right there, might only be 8 total per server.

Oh good :)

I will probably have 1 character for each race, with a variety of skills :)

Either Hunter or Warrior, latter depends on weather we need more tanks or not. Mining and Engineering/Blacksmith again the latter will depend on the numbers we have come release.
@ Shini i share the same fears as you m8, not sure how much value a hunter will be in a group at a higher level  That said great fun playing hunter, loads of different ways to kill mobs and with talent point put in the right place can throw out some nice damage ;)

Hmmm by the looks of it im tempted to go for a mage insted ... ALL CLOTH LOOT TO ME !!!

Or said in another way, RL seem to have few warlocks and mages. While its good to have a tank group ... it rocks to have a tank group with a mage for extra heavy damage and AoE.

True, mages are invaluable to groups because of their habit of turning large smelly ogres into small fluffy sheep. AoE is very nice to rid the group of numerous non-elite monsters, though your friendly neighborhood paladin or priest might have to scrape the mage off the floor afterwards ;)

Going to play a warlock in retail, no doubt about that...

Proffs will be mining/engineering

Just to clarify: I've not decided if it's PvE or PvP for me yet, but just wanted to let you know :)

If you're going for engineering, you should consider being a gnome as they get a +15 skill bonus.

Nikodemus

... but then again, the roof for engineering is 300, and the +15 skill doesn't put you over it - just makes it a bit faster getting there.

I'll play a gnome for the extra 5% int and the escape artist skill... and to piss people off :)
